isn't it enough to know that i ruined a pony?

In roughly alphabetical order by author, I suggest you read the following because they're so, so great:

  • Apocalypse Plan: Number 19 by [info]curia_regis; The Big Bang Theory: Sheldon's got their survival all planned out, but it's Penny who saves the day. (I know I've already rec'd this but it was from my prompt and ILIT.)

  • Whimper by [info]afrocurl; Veronica Mars: "Wallace is the only one! Or how to potentially survive the Apocalypse."
    OMG IT'S A WALLACE-CENTRIC FIC ♥♥♥

  • Nowhere To Be Found by [info]anr; House: Fabulous post-epidemic Cuddy story.

  • After the Fall by [info]beckyh2112; HP: A creepy little story that does a superb job of building a realistic post-end of the world environment in very short order.

  • Killing Time in the Shade by [info]caitn; NCIS: "Even on the brink of a supernatural apocalypse, it's pretty much business as usual at NCIS."

  • The Apocalypse, With Sandwiches by doyle_sb4; Doctor Who: Adorable and fun with just a hint of bittersweet - this reads like a particularly awesome episode.

  • The Inhuman Doctor by [info]daffybroad; Doctor Who: A story that juxtaposes the horror of the universe dissolving with a far more powerful and personal one - WARNING: May be triggery (implicit rape)

Anyone else have recs? I'm planning to finish up the fandoms I know over the next few days but there's a ton that I have no real knowledge of the original works: SG1, CSI:NY, Leverage, Dr. Horrible (which I fully intend to watch tonight because omg how has it taken me this long??), Merlin, &c.

(It's a little surprising every year to see so few XF stories. It's just not an apocalyptothon without the possibility of Flukemen. :( )

Dear god I have a fuckton of tags. I spent an entire disc of Bones last night cleaning them up and only managed to delete ~50. D:

Speaking of Bones, is this fandom the new XF? On my admittedly limited fic searches, all I ever find is Brennan/Booth and most of it is bordering on Chris Carter-style VOICEOVERS OF DOOM philosophical and parenthetical intellihet. (Does that even make sense?)

And because I'm always on the lookout for more fic and ways to pimp it, a meme revival!

If you see this, post three recs in your journal - any three recs - that you think don't get enough attention. They don't have to be the three best ever works of fiction or art, just something that you would like to see get noticed.
Now with 100% more apocalypse!
  1. In the Time to Come by [info]intl_princess: West Wing, Toby, CJ. This is gut-wrenching and funny and so easy to imagine.
  2. This Is What Happened by [info]whitetower: Sarah Connor Chronicles. All I know about the Terminatorverse comes from the movies, but this fic makes me want to watch the show.
  3. The Man in the Elevator by [info]samdonne: SGA/Doctor Who. Just a tasty little fic starter that brings together two of my favorite fandoms.

OMG I just stumbled on a treasure trove of NCIS fic and ♥_♥. I love my guilty pleasure semi-secret fandom.
